WINTER ACTIVITIES 2018-2019

Ski and snowshoe trails, tube slides, skating rink and equipment rental. Also, the cross-country ski school Première Neige offers lessons for children from 5 to 14-years-old.

Season 2018-2019
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

The Première Neige cross-country ski school offers cross-country skiing lessons for children from 5 to 14 years old. The content of this program follows the Canadian Long-Term Athletic Development Guide and includes a project package that allows for continuous progress of the skier.

First glides (5-8 years) – Gliding technique (9-14 years)

Semi-private lessons available on request.

*Discount of 50% on cross-country ski lessons for residents of NDIP.

Number of nightly stays provided this year to special needs children

An overnight stay at holiday camp or specialized retreat may cost up to $125 and stays range from 2 to 12 nights.

TRAIL CONDITIONS

RENTAL KIOSK OPENING HOURS:
The kiosk will open January 12th.
 
Kiosk is open on weekends only, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and all week for spring break for rentals (ski equipment, snowshoes) and access to trails, ice rink ans tubing. During the week, you can register at the reception desk (no ski or snowshoe rentals) tubes and carpets available for sliding.
 

Trail’s conditions January 18th 2019:

 

No new snow since last week. Conditions similar that what we had last week. Thin snow coverage 15cm. Some snowflakes announced today (2-3cm). Some trails had benefited from mechanical tracing, others under nordic conditions (Ski path) and poor conditions

Rocks and roots shelves pretty much everywhere.

 

#1 Robert Meilleur: Mechanical tracing, acceptable.

#2 Les Prés: Mechanical tracing, acceptable. Good on south area

#3 L’Érablière: Mechanical tracing, acceptable. Good on south area

#4 Les Hêtres: Mechanical tracing, acceptable. Good on south area

#5 La Gros Bois : Poor conditions. Ski path.

#6 La Perdriolle: Poor conditions. Ski path.

#7 Katimavik: 7a Thin coverage under spruce. 7b Poor conditions. Ski path.

#8 La Samare: No details.  

#9 La Colline: Open. Reserve for snowshoeing

#10 Du Marais: Open. Reserve for snowshoeing

#12 Boisée Marceau: No details.

#13 Quinn: Acceptable
